A private club

Inaugurated in 1992, Joyenval is an exquisite private golf club, dedicated to its members and their guests.

Joyenval members have the privilege of playing two courses all year round, without any need for reserving tee-times given total membership is restricted to 550 players.  Located only 20 minutes from Porte Maillot in the west of Paris, the proximity of the Club adds to the comfort that our members enjoy.

Legendary course designer Robert Trent Jones Snr created two 18-hole championship courses, Marly and Retz, on this remarkable historical site.  Both are maintained to a very high level, meeting the standards expected by our members and professionals alike.  Indeed Joyenval hosts several international tournaments and was the venue of the Vivendi Trophy, a European Tour sanctioned event, in 2010.

The Clubhouse combines elegance, luxury and functionality.  Recently refurbished, it compares extremely well to the facilities found at other great European golfing venues.

The relaxed ‘family’ and friendly atmosphere at the Club, overseen by our director Guillaume Talbot and his team (contact), makes golf at Joyenval a very enjoyable experience for players, whatever their handicap. insert text

The courses meander through the Domaine de Désert de Retz, where in the mid XVIIIth century François Racine de Monville created his very own ‘desert’, an oasis of calm to evoke dreams and bathe in nostalgia.  In his garden filled with rare essences, 21 ornamental “fabriques” were built, some of which are still visible from the course.
